Ahelem Jouied
Prior to founding Marathon Advisers, Ahelem was Head of Institutional Sales, Middle East and Africa, for State Street Global Advisers, responsible for sales activity and teams across the MEA region. Before SSGA she led institutional coverage for a GCC placement agent. She previously spent more than ten years at Morgan Stanley in London in Debt Capital Markets, working with international financial institutions, and began her career in sales at Bloomberg. She holds an MSc in Financial Economics from Queen Mary University of London.

Nikolaj Van Laer
Prior to founding Marathon Advisers, Nikolaj worked at a US strategic advisory firm based in Dubai, covering the GCC. He spent eight years at BlackRock in the Institutional Client Business, having previously worked in BlackRock’s Financial Institutions Group. He has also helped found a Norwegian prop-tech company, later exited, and a Copenhagen-based pan-European venture firm. He holds an MSc in Accounting and Finance and a BSc in Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School, and a BA in Marketing from Copenhagen North.

Oliver Gladen
Prior to Marathon Advisers, Oliver was Head of Institutional Coverage at Greenstone Equity Partners, where he worked on 30+ fundraising assignments representing over $45 billion in aggregate funds raised. He previously raised capital from global family offices, private banks, and discretionary wealth managers at Harrington Cooper. His experience covers private equity, venture, private credit, real estate, hedge fund, and long-only strategies. He has also held roles at the EIF in Luxembourg, a Paris-based food-tech startup, and RBS in London. He holds a BSc (Econ) from University College London.
